Ladies and Gentlemen, it is my pleasure to introduce you to "The Australian Bloggers' Society" inaugural blog entry. I am Sebastian Aristos, the Founder of "The Australian Bloggers' Society", and I would like to invite you to join us in celebrating our launch by taking part in a wonderful opportunity to win a fabulous prize simply by answering a few questions and letting us know whether you have a blog or not, or whether you have ever thought of writing a book or a blog. We'd like to know whether you have a computer with a webcam and a microphone and speakers at home, when and where you had your last holiday, and whether you have ever had a tarot card reading or consulted a psychic. Finally, we would also like to know whether you believe in the existence of extraterrestrial life-forms, and whether you have ever come into contact with any.

If you are able to answer these questions in our Guestbook an you then sign the Mailing List, you will go into the draw to win a prize from the many we have on offer for you, the Grand Prize of which includes a luxury, all-expenses paid cruise to the Bahamas. So, start blogging your answers if you want to. It's easy to create your own blog, and so why not put the answers on your blog and then send me the hyperlink after you've put your e-mail address on our mailing list, so we can contact you if you win. Otherwise, just type your answers in our Guestbook, and then include your e-mail address to be notified of the prize, and please also let us know whether you wish to be informed of anything else fantastic that's going on with bloggers all around Australia, OK ?

Captain's Log and Founder's Blog Stardate 05.55 19/19/2005

Sebastian blogging and over and out.

PS. By the way, the picture is there in honour of all those of you who have always wanted to have a web site or an interactive journal on the Internet ( which is what a blog - or web log - is in fact ) , but have alway said that they don't know how to do it. Well, now you do ! Simply log on to www.blogger.com and enjoy the ride that blogging will invariably be for you. Prepare to meet people and to make friends from all over the world, some of whom no doubt one day you'll be travelling to visit or spending time with at home. We aim to organise not only a series of conventions and workshops, but also an "Annual Australian Blogggers' Society Awards Night". The date for the inaugural "Annual Australian Blogggers' Society Awards Night" will be determined by consulting as many oracles as possible in the hope that I may be able to find a date auspicious enough for me that I may wind the "Best Australian Gay Comedy / Drama New Age Blog". Rodney Croome will get the "Best Australian Gay Political Acivist's Blog Award", and I'm sure that Paul Kidd of "Buggery.org" fame ( Yes, that's a hyperlink. Click on it to check it out, but don't forget to press the "Go Back One Page" button on your browswer to come back here afterwards ). Anyway the end of that last sentence is : " will receive the award for the "Best Techno-Savvy and Outright Cool Australian Gay Blog". Paul Kidd that is, if you're lost by now. And then there's Tom, whose blog "Sweet Valley High" is a shoo-in for the "Best Writing In A Blog on Female-to-Male Transexaulism". My friend and, for a sadly brief period casual lover - Nick is destined to win the award for "Best and Most Incisive Humourous Live Journal", although we all wish Nick would start up a blog too. He's so beautiful that we all want to see more and more and more pictures of him. As yet, we have no candidates for the "Best Australian Gay Pornography Blog", so if you qualify to enter this category, please get in touch with me immediately. My casting couch is dusted off and ready for an interview with you to discuss your relative merits.

PPS. If you're new to blogging and want to find out a little more about how it works, all my blog entries in September 2005 ( have a look in the 'Sidebar' in the left column under the heading 'Archives" and you'll find it will come up as soon as you click on 'September 2005' ) have explanations about how blogging works and what you can do in a blog, great ideas for how to make your blog really interactive and fun, free photos and fun desktops for you to click on and then save onto your computer, and heaps of interesting stories about ET Contact, extraterrestrials, spiritualism, channeling, all things New Age, all things Gay, art, literature, photography, multimedia, and magic. Check it out.

PPPS. Don't forget the Guestbook and the Mailing List, and please feel free to leave a comment. That's where all the interesting stuff happens, so just click on the link below right where it tells you how many comments there are that people have left about this entry, and then click on the link which says "Post a Comment". Bye for now.
